ispo summer 06, which took place in Munich from July 16 to 18, 2006, had slightly lower participation with approx. 19,000 (20,722*) trade visitors. A total of 1,015 exhibitors (915) exhibitors from 47 countries presented their latest production innovations and collections of the summer season 2007 to purchasers from approx. 100 countries. The foreign share of exhibitors was 76% (78%), and it was again about 46% on the visitor side.

Positive Forecast for the Shoe Market 2006/ 2007

On 11 June 2006 GDS held the 8th GDS VIP Workshop at the 66th EXPO RIVA SCHUH event. A positive atmosphere prevailed throughout the discussions here which were attended by over 30 participants from trade, industry and the international trade press.

This decision will facilitate the attendance of small companies at the fair and will bring the total number of trade visitors to over 22,000. The Design Institute of the Balearic Islands (IDI) will present a new trends section for the Spring-Summer 2007 season.

MIDEC confirms its new positioning
ImageThe changes made last February have been a great success with shoe professionals, both exhibitors and visitors. The new dates, new look, new layout, new communication, a comprehensive and clear offer are the result of a forward-looking strategy which achieved subtle change, and produced the New Generation MIDEC last February; bringing in a new energy, and the tools to make it work.
