For the Economic Development Minister, the Chinese edition of the international footwear exhibition organised by Assocalzaturifici and Fiera Milano is "a successful model of internationalisation for Italian products". It is with these words that in Beijing, today, the Economic Development Minister Flavio Zanonato commented...

...the third theMICAMshanghai- the Chinese edition of the world's most important high-end footwear exhibition, which will be returning to the Shanghai Exhibition Centre from 24 to 26 March 2014 - at the presentation to the press and to industry operators.

"theMICAMshanghai, so far the only B2B fashion exhibition owned and operated by Italian entities in China, constitutes a great opportunity for growth abroad for an Italian manufacturing sector of excellence such as the footwear industry. It is an exemplary model of internationalisation of a successful Italian trade fair, made possible by the collaboration between Assocalzaturifici and Fiera Milano and by the strong support offered by our embassy, the Italian consulates in China and the ICE (Italian Trading Agency)."

The latest edition welcomed 260 exhibitors from all over the world, including Italy, Spain, France, Brazil, Portugal, Turkey and the United Kingdom, and qualified buyers (retailers, distributors and department stores) from throughout China, the region of Hong Kong and South Korea, with a turnout in the first two editions of more than 11,000 visitors, and these figures prove the resounding success of the fair's format. High quality buyers and international exhibitors make theMICAMshanghai a trade fair that expresses the best in Italian production and in the international footwear industry, and that strengthens the prestige of Italian products on the Chinese luxury goods market.

ImagetheMICAMshanghai is an important B2B fair that takes quality Italian products directly to Chinese buyers. The third edition, to be held in March, will display the 2014/2015 autumn/winter collections. 

In this new edition, theMICAMshanghai will continue to benefit from the special visibility provided by an agreement signed by Assocalzaturifici and Fiera Milano with Shanghai Fashion Week, one of the most important events that China dedicates to the fashion industry, of which theMICAMshanghai is the only footwear show to have become an official partner, thus strengthening the relationship between the trade fair and the Chinese hosting city.
